50th Anniversary Party

I created all the decorations, invitations, photo album, guest book, and special display boards for this 50th anniversary party. The invitation was created using tulle wrapped around white paper. White beads hung down on the front. A gold strip on the bottom added the final touch. (Click on photos for larger image.) Here you can see the table near the door; as soon as guests arrived they had a place to put cards and gifts. There was a guest book with a photo of the happy couple, decorated again in white and gold. Also notice more tulle and ivy around the edge of the table. A seating assignment chart was created using a 1950s celebrity name for each table. For example, there was the Grace Kelly table, the Humphrey Bogart table, the Marilyn Monroe table, and so on. Ivy with white and gold continued throughout all the decorations. Hundreds of photos were collected from the couple and made into display boards. The first was of 1953, the year they were married. It included photos of their wedding day and other very special events that happened that year. Then other display boards were created for each decade: 1960s, 1970s, 1980s, 1990s, and 2000s. These were hung on the wall in the reception area near the guest book table, so that guests could look at them on their way into the dining room. Copies were made of all photos used and the originals were returned to the couple. White fabric was hung on the walls to hide the wait-staff area. The wall decorations were created out of tulle and ivy. Here is another view of the wall decorations. I created pillars to hold more ivy and placed them against the wall. Tulle and ivy also hung from the windows. Strategically placed flower arrangements completed the look. Here is a centerpiece for the Jimmy Stewart table. A white candle floated in the bowl of water, and ivy wrapped around it all.

Similar ideas can be done for any special event: wedding reception, birthday or anniversary party, graduation party, etc. You pick the colors or let me do it all for you!
